Field notes

The put-in is never as close as the map suggests. A cart takes the hull weight off your shoulder for the last quarter mile. Scupper carts drop into sit-on-top drain holes; center carts strap to any hull; the Paddleboy™ ATC runs on wide wheels for sand and gravel.

Match the cart to the terrain first and the boat second. Sand wants width, gravel wants clearance, a boat ramp is happy with anything.
